Yes. Every RefDat tool is completely free to use. No sign-ups, no paywalls, no premium tiers. We fund the project through advertising.
It depends on the data source. Census data (used in Australian Postcodes) updates when the ABS releases new figures. Climate data on Australian Weather uses 30-year normals that are recalculated periodically. NDIS provider data on our Trust Index is updated quarterly. We document update schedules on our Data Sources page.
RefDat content is original editorial work and is copyrighted. However, the underlying government datasets we use are mostly available under Creative Commons licences. Check our Data Sources page for links to the original datasets and their licence terms.
Email corrections@refdat.com with the page URL and a description of the error. Include the correct information if you have it. We aim to action corrections within 48 hours for factual errors.
